Google Street View Is Actually Working Now In Lebanon

Google has recently introduced its highly anticipated Street View coverage for Lebanon, providing users with virtual access to the country’s streets and landmarks.

The coverage, spanning from 2021 to 2023, offers a glimpse into the central region, including the governorates of Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and Beqaa.

However, excitement over the release is dampened by concerns regarding the quality of the images.

Regrettably, the coverage was captured using a low-resolution camera, resulting in distorted and pixelated images.

This issue is particularly noticeable in areas covered between April 2021 and October 2023.

While Google has previously limited coverage in Lebanon, focusing mainly on universities and tourist attractions in 2018, the latest release fails to meet expectations due to the inferior quality of the camera used.

Disappointed users expressed hope that future updates will feature improved image quality, providing a more immersive and accurate representation of Lebanon’s streets and landmarks.
